C-TEC CAST Compact Ceiling Sounder – Red (CTEC-CA450A/SR)

Description

The C-TEC CAST Compact Ceiling Sounder – Red (CTEC-CA450A/SR) is a compact addressable fire alarm sounder designed for use with C-TEC CAST protocol addressable fire alarm systems. Featuring a red housing and shallow-base design, this CAST Compact Sounder provides a powerful audible alarm output while maintaining a discreet, space-saving profile. The device is LPCB certified to the relevant EN 54 standards, including EN 54-3 and EN 54-17, making it a dependable choice for compatible addressable fire detection and alarm applications.

The CA450A/SR delivers an impressive 96dB(A) sound output at 1 metre and provides installers and system designers with a choice of four selectable volume levels and 31 selectable alarm tones. Its onboard short-circuit loop isolator helps maintain loop integrity, while the group addressing facility allows multiple sounders to be operated simultaneously. The sounder operates across a 24-40V DC supply range, with a typical quiescent current of just 460µA and a typical alarm current of 5.5mA when operating at maximum sounder volume.

Compact and robust, the C-TEC CAST CA450A/SR measures approximately 102mm in diameter by 63mm deep and carries an IP21C Type A rating. It is compatible with C-TEC CAST addressable fire alarm panels and is well suited to commercial, industrial and other compatible fire alarm environments where clear audible notification and reliable addressable communication are required. Its UK-manufactured CAST technology provides a flexible solution for modern addressable fire alarm systems.
