Terms and conditions of sale

These terms apply to every order placed on this website. Please read them before you order. If you have a question, call us on 0345 5488 202.

1. Who we are

This website is run by E Commerce Professionals Limited, trading as Buy CCTV Kits, Security Alarms Online Trade Prices UK Delivery. Company number 12563051. VAT number 507 5533 94. Registered office: 13 White's Row, London, E1 7NF.

2. Trade and consumer customers

We sell to trade customers (installers, electricians, security companies and other businesses) and to consumers. Some terms apply differently depending on which you are. Where a term says “consumer”, it means someone buying wholly or mainly for purposes outside their trade, business or profession. Nothing in these terms affects a consumer’s statutory rights.

3. Prices and VAT

• Prices are shown ex VAT with the inc VAT price alongside. VAT is charged at the current UK rate.
• Delivery charges are set out on our delivery page and shown at checkout.
• Prices for some brands are only shown to logged-in trade account holders.
• We check prices carefully. If a product is listed at an obviously wrong price, we will contact you before dispatch and you can cancel or pay the correct price.

4. Your order and our contract

When you place an order you will get an email acknowledging it. That email is not acceptance. The contract is formed when we email to confirm dispatch. We may decline an order, for example if an item is out of stock or we cannot verify payment, in which case we will refund any payment in full.

5. Payment

Payment is taken at checkout. Trade account holders with agreed credit terms pay by the due date shown on the invoice. Goods remain our property until we have received payment in full.

6. Delivery and risk

Delivery times are set out on our delivery page. They are estimates, and courier delays outside our control can happen. Risk in the goods passes to you on delivery. Please check deliveries on arrival and report missing or damaged items within 48 hours.

7. Cancellations and returns

Our returns and refunds page forms part of these terms. Consumers have a legal right to cancel within 14 days of delivery under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013.

8. Faulty goods and warranty

Goods are covered by the manufacturer’s warranty, explained on our warranty page. Consumers also have rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

9. Installation and use

Products are sold supply only. Installation should be carried out by a competent person in line with the manufacturer’s instructions and the relevant regulations and standards. If you install CCTV that records beyond your own property, you are responsible for using it in line with UK data protection law. The ICO publishes guidance for domestic and business CCTV users.

10. Our liability

We are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of us breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care. We do not exclude liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be excluded by law.

For business customers: we are not liable for loss of profit, loss of business, business interruption, loss of data or indirect loss, and our total liability for any order is limited to the price paid for that order.

11. Trade accounts

We may approve, refuse or close a trade account at our discretion. Trade prices and credit terms are for the account holder’s business only.

12. Law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. Consumers living in Scotland or Northern Ireland can also bring proceedings in their local courts.
