Description
The Vigitron NetMux™ Weatherproof Ethernet and PoE Port Multiplexer (VIG-VI00103W) is an innovative networking solution that allows two IP/PoE devices to communicate and receive power over a single Cat5e/Cat6 Ethernet cable. Designed for outdoor surveillance and networking applications, it significantly reduces the need for additional cabling, helping lower installation costs while simplifying deployments. The weatherproof transmitter module is IP66-rated, making it ideal for harsh outdoor environments.
Using Vigitron’s patented NetMux™ technology, the VI00103W consists of a receiver (combiner) and a weatherproof transmitter (splitter) that seamlessly combines two Ethernet and PoE connections into one cable before splitting them back into two independent PoE outputs at the remote end. The unit supports IEEE 802.3af and 802.3at PoE standards, delivering up to 37W per connected device, making it suitable for IP cameras, access control devices, and other PoE-powered equipment.
Requiring no external power supply, the VI00103W offers a plug-and-play installation that minimizes deployment time while maximizing existing network infrastructure. Whether expanding an outdoor CCTV system or adding a second PoE device without installing additional cabling, this compact multiplexer provides a reliable, cost-effective, and efficient solution for professional security and networking applications.
