Description

The Hikvision DS-3E1518P-EI is a robust smart-managed PoE switch featuring 16 Gigabit PoE ports and two uplink options—one Gigabit RJ45 and one Gigabit fiber optical port. It supports both IEEE 802.3af and 802.3at standards, delivering up to 30 W per port and a generous total PoE power budget of 230 W. The switch offers long-range PoE transmission of up to 300 m in extend mode, making it well-suited for expansive installations.

Built for reliability, the unit includes 6 kV surge protection on PoE ports for enhanced overload resilience. Essential network safeguards include features such as port isolation, PoE watchdog to automatically reboot non-responsive devices, link aggregation for load balancing, STP/RSTP loop prevention, and support for up to 32 VLANs. Additional layer-2 capabilities also include static VLAN tagging and trunk/access port control, ensuring stable and secure network performance.

Management is streamlined via web-based configuration or remote access through Hik-Partner Pro, which delivers real-time insights like port bandwidth, PoE usage, topology maps, alarms, long-range mode control, and firmware updates. Further remote and local tools include DHCP, super IP access, LLDP device discovery, port mirroring for diagnostics, and web-based system maintenance for seamless administration.

Housed in a durable metal chassis with rack-mounting capability, the switch weighs approximately 2.85 kg and measures 440 × 220.8 × 44 mm. It functions reliably from 0 °C to 45 °C, consumes around 20 W at idle, and draws up to 250 W at peak load.
