C-TEC CAST Wall Sounder VAD Shallow Red (CTEC-CA433A/SR)

Description

The C-TEC CAST CA433A/DR/65 Hi-Output Wall Sounder VAD is a high-performance addressable fire alarm sounder and visual alarm device designed for use with C-TEC CAST protocol addressable fire alarm systems. Combining a powerful audible alarm with a high-visibility visual alarm, this red, deep-base wall-mounted device provides effective notification of fire alarm conditions in a wide range of commercial and industrial environments. The unit delivers up to 103dB(A) sound output at 1 metre and incorporates a short-circuit loop isolator for enhanced system resilience.

Designed for demanding environments, the CA433A/DR/65 features an IP55C weatherproof rating, with the supplied O-ring allowing IP65C compliance. This makes the CAST Hi-Output Wall Sounder VAD suitable for applications where increased protection against dust and water is required, including suitable outdoor installations. The device provides W-2.75-9 rated light distribution and is also certified as a W-4-4 VAD, helping provide highly visible visual alarm notification when required.

The C-TEC CAST CA433A/DR/65 offers flexible configuration with selectable volume levels and multiple selectable tones, while its group addressing facility allows multiple devices to operate simultaneously. It operates on 24–40V DC, has a typical quiescent current of 460µA, and is certified to relevant EN54 requirements, including EN54-3, EN54-17 and EN54-23, with additional EN54-13 certification. With its robust deep red housing, high-output sounder and VAD functionality, this C-TEC CAST device is an excellent choice for professional addressable fire alarm systems requiring dependable audible and visual notification.
