Description

The GJD Opal Elite PIR Detector (GJD022) is a reliable and versatile external passive infrared (PIR) sensor designed to provide high-performance perimeter detection for security lighting, CCTV, and intruder alarm systems. With an adjustable detection range of 10 to 35 metres, this detector offers excellent coverage and flexibility for various security applications.

Reliable and Adaptive Detection
The Opal Elite is designed to provide 90º detection coverage, with an impressive range of up to 35 metres by 30 metres. Featuring a 36-zone Fresnel lens, it ensures accurate detection, and the included masking tape allows you to fine-tune the detection area based on your specific security needs.

With seven different operating modes, the Opal Elite offers various configurations for its two volt-free relays, allowing users to customize settings for timing, relay switching, and operational functions.

Flexible Installation Options
Designed for adaptability, the sensor offers 180º pan and 90º tilt adjustments, making it easy to align the detection zone precisely where it’s needed. It can be mounted at heights up to 6 metres, with an optimal height of 3 metres for the best performance.

Robust and Weather-Resistant Design
Built from high-impact ABS material and conformally coated electronics, the Opal Elite ensures long-lasting durability in harsh environments. With an IP55 weatherproof rating, it provides reliable operation in temperatures ranging from -20ºC to +55ºC, making it ideal for year-round use.

Enhanced Security Features
When integrated with GJD’s security lighting controllers, the Opal Elite can activate lighting systems and provide an audible warning as intruders approach. This proactive approach helps deter potential threats before they can escalate. The unit also features a tamper detection system, ensuring that any unauthorized interference is immediately detected.
